Pacifica Islanders Dedicate Championship Football Game to Benefit Former Player

The Pacifica Islanders Football Team is dedicating the Minor League State Championship Semi-final Game on June 21st as a benefit to raise money for former local gridiron star Rob Serafino. Rob has been battling cancer for the past few years.

Rob graduated from Oceana High School in 1983. He was a standout on the shark Football and Wrestling teams. He went on to play football for the Pacifica Outlaws in the mid 90’s and later with the Daly City Renegades.

Rob was a standout lineman in High School playing both offensive and defensive tackle. He earned several all-league and all-county honors during his prep career. He was a standout Wrestler on some of the dominant Shark Wrestling teams in the 80’s, earning all-state honors in 1983 and an athletic scholarship to Cal-Poly.

Several of Rob’s former high school and semipro teammates are either, players, coaches or administrators with the Islanders. The organization has dedicated this game to Rob and his family as a benefit to help offset medical expenses. He has been named honorary Captain for the game which will be played on June 21st, 6:30pm, at Sequoia High School in Redwood City.

The cost is for Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for Children. All Proceeds from the game will go to Rob and his Family. Advanced tickets are on sale now.
